Nicole Gabriella Scipione
About
An award-winning actor/writer/filmmaker, Nicole's award-winning films, include Play Me Like That now streaming on Apple TV+, with Silas Weir Mitchell (Grimm), which Hell's Half Mile Film & Music Festival calls "funny & heartbreaking at the same time," premiering at the Oscar-qualifying LA Shorts International Film Fest., continuing at the Oscar-qualifying HollyShorts & more, and Song in a Convenience Store (3rd Place Narrative Short winner, Academy Award qualifying Athens International Film Festival), world premiering at Dances With Films. Nicole optioned/adapted X.J. Kennedy’s The Owlstone Crown, in turn optioned by Nimbus Pictures; playwriting highlights include Theatre of NOTE’S I Took A Vow, Hand Over Belly and Janis Costs at EST/LA, directed by Jose Rivera (The Motorcycle Diaries) and Cornerstone Theatre Company/The New York One Minute Play Festival. As actor, Nicole has failed to save Daryl Hannah from sharks in Shark Swarm (TNT), been William Peterson's regular cocktail server (CSI), crushed on Chad Lowe in Hallmark's Fielder's Choice, & been honored to grace stages like The Kirk Douglas Theatre & PlayMakers Repertory Company in Ayad Akhtar's Pulitzer Prize winning Disgraced. Two-time winner Stage Scene LA’s Best Performance by a Featured Actress (alongside Alicia Silverstone, yo!) for The Christians & The Crucible, “Scipione brings earthy sexuality & touching vulnerability” (LA Times). Deep thanks to the Resilient Artist Project and Shannon Sigler, & to Jordan Warrick for being the one she gets to come home to. Nicole's cat Langston bites her not infrequently, which seems rude.
