Lauren is a comedy writer, producer, podcaster, and performer. She is the founder of Creative Faith Media, which houses her work across documentary filmmaking, scripted comedy, podcasting, and ministry. She is the director, writer, and co-executive producer of the new documentary film “Jesus Was a Migrant” produced with Dr. Jemar Tisby & Tisby Studios. She is a current Master of Divinity student at Fuller Seminary, a screenwriter, a sketch comedy writer for “Smosh” (42M subscribers), a stand-up comedian (The Hollywood Improv, The Laugh Factory), a top 5% podcaster (15 Minutes with Jesus), and a documentary producer for film and TV projects on Netflix, ABC, Starz, FOX, Quibi, Amazon, and PBS.

When a struggling, Black female LA comedian hits rock bottom, she discovers her chaotic life is actually being scripted by a divine, dysfunctional heavenly writer's room—forcing her to confront the ultimate "Showrunner" to find her true purpose. Equal parts sharp stand-up comedy and raw theatrical testimony, God Has a Writer's Room uses lightning-fast character swaps and cosmic wit to explore the deep-seated realities of identity, colorism, and the heavy weight of generational dreams. Ultimately, the show is a fierce celebration of Black women's resilience, diving into the universal struggle of feeling like you are sinking in a world designed to dim your light, only to discover a profound, unshakeable love that has been ghostwriting your survival all along.
